Recap: Leading the way

IMG_6072The racing action started last Thursday wih an outsanding performance by two drivers who achieved 2 wins each, Jonathan Lachance with C L Sportaction & Friskie Sis and Guy Gagnon with Born To Cruise & Shhh It’s A Secret. The winning streak continued for Wild Dorothy as the four year old mare recorded her fifth consecutive win with the help of owner, trainer and driver Matt Harvey.  Katia Leclerc also had a night to remember as her three year old filly Dolce Seelster recorded her first lifetime win as driver Brett MacDonald drove her to the finish line.

On Sunday, Guy Gagnon’s victories continued as he visited the winner’s circle twice while driving Skyway Boomer and Viper Select. This only strengthened his position as the leading driver for the year. With 58 wins, Guy Gagnon is ahead of Brett MacDonald who recorded 30 wins and coming in third is Jonathan Lachance with 21 wins. On the trainer’s side, Yves Tessier leads the standing with 36 wins followed by Jamie Copley who accumulated 33 and Guy Gagnon with 30. Driver Richard Simard also got noticed last Sunday, as he finished the night with a hat trick. He led to victory horses Ghirardelli Lindy, Maximus Deo and Solid Performance.
