Recap: Stealing the show

fwewfLast Sunday night treated us with another great night of racing. Louis-Philippe Roy stole the show with 4 wins, as he drove to victory Bazinga Brad, Badstormanyport, Private Interview & After Market. Roy is leading the drive
rs standing for this year with 15 wins in front of Guy Gagnon and Tyler Moore with 9 wins and Brett MacDonald with 7 wins. Not to be discouraged, driver Tyler Moore and trainer Jamie Copley teamed up to grab a hat trick for the night with horses Taurus Du Parc, Olivias Way & Wildcat Cam. Two other trainers managed to pick up a couple of wins each; Yves Tessier with Bazinga Brad & Badstormanyport and Matthew McDonald with Bettim Chris & Private Interview.

Driver / owner Jeff Lilley came down from Charlottetown P.E.I. for the weekend to drive his two horses trained by Matthew McDonald and managed to get a win with his 4 year olds pacer Bettim Chris. Lilley was all smiles in the winner’s circle.

The star of the week surprised us all by finishing 7th in the 8th race last evening. Indeed, the predicted winner Jenkins Creek driven by Guy Gagnon started the race with an outside post and was leading into the first turn. Only in the last stretch did Jenkins Creek lost steam to finally reach the finish line in 7th place.
