Recap: Crafty Master for the Win!

In the main event of the night, Crafty Master who was driven by Louis-Philippe Roy and trained by Macy Cassell, beat the star of the night, Adkins Hanover! Crafty Master took advantage of the second hole trip to pass Adkins Hanover down the last stretch. Adkins Hanover, who was driven by Brett MacDonald, ended in third place, as second place went to Genesee, driven by Denis St.Pierre.

It was a night of firsts for some horses, as two horses achieved their first life time wins! Now What Hanover won in 1:58.4 with driver Jacques Beaudoin, and Stonebridge Satire won in 1:59 with driver Clarke Steacy.

Three drivers were able to leave the racetrack as double winners on Sunday, as Sylvain Lacaille won with Optima Kemp and Bettim Chris. Both horses were also able to improve their lifetime marks, with Optima Kemp winning in 2:00.4 and Bettim Chris winning in 1:55.3. Guy Gagnon won two races with Playin For Keeps and Four Starz Speed and Clarke Steacy drove Stonebridge Satire and Putnams New Year to wins.

Trainer, Stephen Leblanc also had a successful night. In the 10th race, The Love Bug, that he co-owns with his daughter Michelle, won in 1:54 with driver Richard Simard. Then in 12th race, Punams New Year, lead the race from start to finish winning with driver Clarke Steacy in 1:56.1.
